A website that needed a route to launch
INVOGUE needed to complete and launch a website built by a previous development team. UI Arts took responsibility for understanding the inherited codebase and resolving the issues standing in the way of launch.
That first stage required learning how the existing platform worked and making the assembled system usable. Following the initial work, UI Arts conducted an audit to identify further improvements and help prioritise the next stage.
Improving the storefront and the data exchange behind it
Performance became an ongoing focus, with improvements to page loading and the customer-facing storefront.
The platform also depended on a demanding data exchange with the retailer's ERP. UI Arts introduced RabbitMQ queues, significantly improving the stability of this exchange.
These improvements addressed both sides of the platform: the customer-facing website and the processing needed to connect it to retail operations.
From launch support to continuing engineering
After the initial recovery and audit work, the engagement expanded into regular maintenance, new features and continuing performance improvements.
UI Arts contributes technical judgement as well as implementation. When a requested change could create a business or technical problem, the team explains the concern and helps consider the approach.
A working platform with ongoing technical ownership
INVOGUE launched its website and established a continuing relationship with a team familiar with its architecture and integration requirements.
The reported outcomes include faster page loading, more stable ERP exchange and six years of development and support. PageSpeed and load performance remain areas of continued improvement.
